Day 1/365 - January 1

Hello 2014...Happy New Year!!!

For the first time in quite a few years, Wes was awake at midnight to ring in the New Year with me. Needless to say, I had to get Avery to snap a quick photo of us.

A few hours later I finally got Avery, Caroline, Sydney, and Mackenzie settled down enough that I could crawl in bed around 2:00.  They were having a blast - and not being very quiet doing it :)

We had a relaxing New Year's Day over at Wes's parents house complete with a yummy lunch and tons of watching football bowl games on TV. There was a little napping thrown in there too.

All in all, today was a great start to 2014!

Project 365 - 2014

I've tried and tried and tried...and failed and failed and failed. However, I'm confident that 2014 is the year that I will FINALLY make it all the way through (start to finish) with Project 365. I would say that I'm confident I can take 365 photos, but there's no doubt I can accomplish that it the first quarter of the year! So fingers and toes crossed and many prayers said for an amazing 2014. There will be nothing better than looking back at these memories in the years to come!

Day 309/365 - November 5

Lately, Princess has not been wanting to stay in Avery's room at bedtime.

Avery wants to have someone in there with her.period.

So, she's reverted back to the dogs.

I walk in tonight and find this.

Dosie laying asleep ON the pillow next to Avery.

It was absolutely precious. Until I snapped the picture and she jumped up and started wagging her tail and hopping all over the bed.

Day 308/365 - November 4

Volleyball is just about to wrap up. Tonight was Avery's last game of the regular season.

Their team, The Knights, finished second overall in the league. Not too shabby for a team with 10 girls that have never played before! Their tournament is this coming Saturday.

It's amazing how much she has improved and how far she has come in just two months!

I really think she has enjoyed it too.

Day 307/365 - November 3

Look what I found on the coffee table tonight.

Seriously? It's the beginning of November!

Way too early for an elf to arrive!

Good thing Santa knows all and quickly jumped in.

Day 306/365 - November 2

Wes and Avery finished the ecosystem over the weekend. Avery even finished writing her paper after a lot of research on saltwater systems.

Here's the finished product.

Take a look at all the detailed work. Avery made all of the colorful fish, lobster, clam, and starfish from modeling clay.

We took it to school this morning. One more project down. I've lost count of how many more to go. Either that, or I'm just in denial.

Day 305/365 - November 1

Cake pops, attempt #2...successful.

Lesson learned from first attempt: do not leave them anywhere near the edge of the counter.

They were all packed up and sent to school today.

Avery said the kids loved them.

They are also expecting great things for the next holiday too. Really? Nine and ten year olds? It starts early!
