Besides trying to fight of a stinking cold all day, I finally managed to get my house back in some type of normal working order. All signs of Christmas have been removed and pretty much everything else has been put back in it's place. Considering how icky I felt, I was pretty proud of my accomplishments!

Day 3 - January 3
I'm sure you are getting tired of hearing this, but I can't believe I'm still at it on Day 3! Seriously, I'm great at planning but stink at follow through :)

Day 2 - January 2
Wow, I've made it TWO WHOLE DAYS!!!!
We tried something new with A this weekend in attempts to get her to sleep in a bit and it seems to be working (either that or she finally was just slap worn out)! We have told her that she can not come into our room before 8:00 in the morning. Guess what?!? She slept this morning until 7:13 - yippee!! AND - she didn't come into our room until 8:00 - woo hoo!!!! Sleep does a-ma-zing things for this lady, let me tell ya!

Otherwise, the rest of our day was fairly uneventful. A finally got to catch up and play with a dear friend, Gabrielle, that she has not seen in probably 8 or 9 months. They were so happy to see each other! Most all of my day was spent taking down the Christmas decorations. I know, they shouldn't be up after New Years. When you are gone out of town a few days at Christmas, come home, and go straight back to work there is only so much you can do! Hopefully tomorrow, my photo can be a clean, neat and back to normal house!

Day 1 - January 1
Woo hoo! One day down!!!

First of all, can you believe it's 2010? I remember 2000 like it was yesterday! All the worry and concern about the computers turning from 1999 without problem - it all seems so funny now, but at the time it was a huge concern. Ah, how things change in a tiny little decade.
Today was a huge celebration in the Golden household - A slept in until 7:16!!! Considering her "awaken" time has been around 5:15, this was HUGE and made for one very happy Mom too :)
We had our final Christmas gathering today as well with the Golden's - Mama Bill and Papa John - who were kind enough to let us get through the rush and get together after Christmas. It worked out great since Auburn played in The Outback Bowl today too. The game was a nail biter til the end of OT, but AU pulled out a win! We had a wonderful family gathering and were glad to have Connie with us from Birmingham too.
Why?
What is this all about? Well, last year I decided to try this ambitious thing called Project 365 which is a challenge to take a picture each day AND scrapbook it. Of course, being the slacker that I am, I didn't make it too far into the year. There were all kinds of great excuses - we got sick, blah, blah, blah and I stopped.
I really never thought I would even give it another try again after the pressure I felt last year. However, after seeing the amazing pages from some folks at my digi-scrapping home, ScrapMatters, I had to give it another go. I'm extremely hopeful that this little blog will hold me accountable but we shall see!
